Privacy policy

1. What we collect

  • Account data: email, display name, optional profile image, managed through Clerk.
  • Order data: billing / shipping addresses, items purchased, totals. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
  • Seller data: Stripe Connect account ID, Shopify integration credentials, and inventory data they upload to us.
  • Operational logs: request URLs, timestamps, IP addresses for fraud prevention.
  • Usage analytics: anonymous, cookieless data about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, searches run, and general interactions, to help us improve it. This isn’t tied to your identity.

2. How we use it

Order fulfillment, customer support, fraud prevention, marketplace-quality enforcement, and aggregated analytics. We don’t sell personal data to advertisers.

3. Third-party processors

  • Clerk: authentication and user identity
  • Stripe: payment processing and Connect payouts
  • Neon / Postgres: database hosting
  • Vercel: web hosting and cookieless traffic + performance analytics
  • PostHog: cookieless product / usage analytics

4. Shopify integration (for connected stores)

When a seller connects their Shopify store, we process their product catalog and stock levels to power inventory sync, and we create orders in their store for EvoMarket sales. From their store’s order webhooks we extract only the order reference and fulfillment tracking details (tracking number and carrier) to update the matching EvoMarket shipment. We do not store other customer personal data from those webhooks. This data is used solely for order fulfillment, retained only as part of the order record, and encrypted in transit and at rest.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or close your account at any time by emailing support@evolvedmarket.com. We honor requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for session management (Clerk) and cart storage (localStorage, not a cookie). Our analytics (Vercel, PostHog) are configured cookieless and store nothing on your device. No third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children

EvoMarket is not for users under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We’ll notify active users of material privacy changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
